Domestic Assistant – Hill Care

Location: Sycamore Hall Care Home, Kearsley Road

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and passionate General Assistant to join our friendly care home team. The role supports domestic, kitchen and laundry services across the facility.

As a General Assistant you will work flexibly across departments to keep the home clean, comfortable and welcoming for residents, ensuring a safe and homely environment.

• Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard
• Assisting with basic food prep, washing up and maintaining kitchen hygiene
• Washing, drying, ironing and distributing residents’ personal items and linen
• Supporting the care team in maintaining infection control and dignity at all times

• A positive attitude and strong team spirit
• Willingness to work across all departments as needed
• Understanding of cleanliness, hygiene and health & safety
• Previous experience in a care or hospitality setting (desirable, not essential)
• Compassion and respect for older people, including those living with dementia
