Your ImpactPearce Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling HVAC Installer Technician to join our team installing, servicing, and repairing commercial HVAC units on cell phone towers. This is a fast‑paced and challenging job that is best suited for individuals who are self‑directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Telecom industry.
This is a travel position – 80% travel is required for up to three weeks at a time. Candidates should reside in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
- Installing and replacing components of entire commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units
- Performing upgrades on out‑of‑season equipment
- Conducting performance checks as required
- Driving to remote work sites as needed
- Timely and accurate completion of daily reports
- Conducting safety inspections and adhering to FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA standards
- 1+ year experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred) or 1+ year construction experience considered in lieu of HVAC experience
- Experience with wall‑mounted Marv Air, Bard, and Marv Air DAC/WAC direct air‑cooling units highly preferred
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems
- Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to operate a phone, computer, or tablet, and communicate effectively verbally and by email
- Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, both visually and audibly
- Availability to be on call and travel for work when needed, especially during busy summer months; may need to pass a DOT physical
Hourly rate: $18.00–$25.00 USD (DOE)
Employees may also be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool & equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation. Pay is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and location.
