Position Summary:

Provide a variety of services to include, but not limited to, collecting, sorting, distributing and stocking linen and laundry within assigned areas. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

• LINEN - Collect soiled linen from designated areas for transporting to the laundry holding area(s); load and unload soiled or fresh linen for delivery to assigned area(s)
• LINEN DISTRIBUTION - Distribute clean linen to assigned stock points
• LINEN STOCK - Stock linen according to department guidelines; monitor and maintain linen inventory as required
• EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES - Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
• SERVICE - Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high quality service meeting or exceeding department customer service goals
• SAFETY - Promote workplace safety throughout regular course of duties

Education:

• High School or GED Equivalent

Experience:

• Nonessential:
  No minimum experience required
• Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo

Physical Conditions:

Heavy Work:
Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
