Type of Opportunity

PRN shift with days schedule.

Responsibilities

Physical Therapists are movement experts who improve quality of life through hands‑on care, patient education and prescribed movement. In the acute‑care rehabilitation department, clinicians treat a variety of patients and work with a multidisciplinary team. Key duties include:

  • Evaluating and treating patients with a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive rehabilitation programs that meet physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
  • Coordinating and communicating with other disciplines or services involved in patient care.
  • Promoting patient/caregiver self‑determination and optimizing resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
  • Coordinating discharge goals established at initial evaluation and throughout episode of care.
  • Acting as a patient advocate and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
  • New Mexico license of Physical Therapy required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Basic understanding of rules and regulations of the specific setting.
  • BLS certification required at time of hire.
