- This job posting is for the school year at Puesta del Sol Elementary - Title Funding, with a 190-day contract.
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university;
Current New Mexico Department of Education license appropriate to the teaching assignment with applicable endorsements or ability to obtain proper licensure within 90 days of hire. - Skills/Aptitudes: Efficient organizational ability;
Professional written and oral communication skills;
Ability to maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding students, staff, parents, and school matters. - Essential
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinates teaching program with site-based goals and district-wide objectives;
Implements approved curricula to achieve student learning at appropriate state standards and benchmarks;
Arranges physical environment of the classroom for optimum learning and safety;
Uses conflict resolution skills with students;
Maintains a positive attitude and conducive classroom environment;
Develops goals for self, group, and student achievement;
Provides instructional activities;
Maintains order and records of student performance and attendance;
Completes reports and report cards;
Communicates with parents/guardians;
Attends staff meetings and training;
Demonstrates technology skills;
Adheres to applicable performance evaluation and ethical standards;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Hours: As established in employment contract; additional hours may be assigned.
