Position: Chief Estimator - 1356012
Requirements:

3+ years of Wastewater and Water Plant Construction Estimating

Experience with a self-performing GC strongly desired

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the entire estimating effort for a specific bid or project.

Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc.

Perform risk and contract management duties as needed, review/incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc., into unit and man-hour figures, and prepare discipline estimates by computing the full takeoff of the scope of work, in consultation with clients, vendors, or other parties.

Review design alternatives and recommending the best option based on price, engineering quality, or material accessibility.

Acquire knowledge about the project and review the list of tasks to be carried out by subcontractors.

Review the final estimate and, if appropriate, add strategic cost variables.

Develop relationships with owners, engineers, strategic subcontractors, and suppliers within the sector; prepare bids; choose vendors or subcontractors; and assess the cost-effectiveness of projects to be bid.
