Location: Rincon, GA

Job Type: Full-time, Nonexempt, 100% Onsite

Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour

Hours: M-F, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Eastern Time

Position Summary

The Inventory Team Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day planning for receiving, picking, packing, and shipping all parts, ensuring efficient and accurate administration of shipping and receiving processes. This role involves leading, training, and mentoring team members, while also managing tasks such as inventory management, safety, efficient work, and communication with customers and team members. This role also ensures compliance with company policies and keeps operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations:
    Inspect received parts shipments, verify accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, update WMS, and ensure proper storage.
  • Pick, pack, and stage parts for accurate, on-time loading.
  • Inventory Management:
    Maintain inventory accuracy for machines, parts, and attachments through cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliation of discrepancies, root-cause analysis of variances, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision:
    Lead, coach, and mentor warehouse staff (material handlers) to ensure strong performance, adherence to procedures, and a safe working environment.
  • Assign daily tasks/workload to team members, monitor progress, and reallocate resources to meet priorities.
  • Provide feedback, performance reviews, or coaching for team members; escalate issues (attendance, performance, safety) per company processes.
  • Safety, Quality, & Compliance:
    Promote and enforce a strong culture of workplace safety; ensure the team follows safe material handling practices, forklift/reach truck/pallet jack operations, housekeeping (5S), etc.
  • Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization:
    Identify process bottlenecks and propose and lead improvements to warehouse layout, workflows, storage systems, or equipment utilization.
  • Support and implement new technology, warehouse management system (WMS), or data-driven decision making where applicable.
  • Additional job-related tasks may be assigned as needed to meet evolving business demands.
Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience is required.
  • Previous experience with cycle counts required.
  • Previous experience with WMS required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry in the WMS.
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform regular physical tasks using proper techniques.
  • Comfortable working in small or confined spaces and tight loading areas while maintaining situational awareness.
  • Ability to climb up, under, around, and over large equipment and work safely at heights of up to 30 feet in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors year-round and in non-climate-controlled warehouses.
  • A current, valid driver's license, with an insurable driving record, is required.
