$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for business. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
- Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
- Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
- Register all sales on assigned cash register, record scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price changes, and voids.
- Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on release day and in reverse logistics.
- Assist manager or assistant store manager in evaluating and developing displays (promotional, seasonal, super structures, sale merchandise) and complete resets and revisions.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts in basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
- Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.
- Set basic department pricing, make daily price changes, and ensure proper signage for accurate pricing and compliance with local regulations.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities (cash report, cash counts, ledgers, bill payment).
- Maintain clean, neat, orderly store condition; request repairs as needed.
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies; perform stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist at the pharmacy out‑window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
- Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
- Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered.
- Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
