Overview
Warehouse Safety Lead – 2nd shift Serena & Lily is seeking a Warehouse Safety Lead. The Safety Lead will report to the Georgia Distribution Safety Manager and serve as a crucial member of the facility's Safety team. This role focuses on promoting safety within the warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and conducting training for associates to create a safe and productive work environment.
Shift2nd shift: 3pm – 11:30pm, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities- Safety Program Oversight:
Monitor and advocate for adherence to the company’s Safety Program, ensuring compliance with safety standards across the facility. - Training and Development:
Facilitate safety training sessions for warehouse associates, ensuring they are up-to-date with safety procedures, policies, and regulations. - Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with Distribution Center Managers, and the Safety Team to create and maintain a culture focused on both personal and process safety, contributing to a safe lifestyle both in and out of work hours. - Process Improvement:
Assist with the continuous improvement of safety processes and protocols, and participate in audits (monthly and annually). - Incident Reporting & Analysis:
Analyze incident reports and injury case studies to identify root causes and implement changes to improve safety performance. - Safety Audits & Inspections:
Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company safety guidelines. - Safety Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance inspections in line with company requirements. - Leadership and Accountability:
Foster a culture of safety at all levels of the facility, holding all employees accountable for maintaining a safe working environment. - Physical Requirements:
The role involves standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and occasional climbing up to 35 feet. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, with occasional lifting up to 80 pounds.
- Experience:
3-5 years of experience in safety roles, ideally in a warehouse or distribution environment. - Certifications:
Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications preferred. - Skills:
- Strong technical writing skills, capable of creating and maintaining safety reports and documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak effectively in front of both small and large groups during training and surveillance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, for creating presentations and reports.
- Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives and teams, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Knowledge:
Solid understanding of safety regulations, and a commitment to ongoing education and compliance with safety standards.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, kneeling, and operating at heights (up to 35 feet).
- $22/hr
