Provides day to day care and supervision of Medical Assistants in a clinical setting at our main hospital campus. The Medical Assistant provides direct professional medical care to patients and also serves as a leader and professional role model to department members at all times.

• Works in collaboration with the clinic manager, assisting with onboarding new MA staff as well as ongoing education to all MA staff, identifying needs and recommends training.
• Involved with quality initiatives and process changes ensuring MA staff understand and are able to accurately collect data.
• Tracks sample medications.
• Works in all provider pods as staffing needs dictate.
• Attends meetings as necessary.
• Completes various special projects as assigned.
• Monitors delivery of patient services for effectiveness, efficiency and clinical excellence.
• Medical Assistant duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in all aspects of medical practice under the direction of a physician, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, drawing and collecting blood samples from patients, administering patient immunizations, recording or inputting information to patients' medical records, and other general patient care activities.
• Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned

• Courses or experiences showing commitment, reliability, or work ethic
• Brings Certified Medical Assistant/Registered Medical Assistant experience, but we'll consider all experiences
• Speaks both English and Spanish to better serve our community, but not required
• Must have a current American Heart Association BLS card within 3 months of initial employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.

• Pay Range: $27.47 - $33.00 /hour (based on experience)

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
