Job DescriptionWSP is seeking an Environmental Remediation Project Manager/Office Manager for our Rifle, CO team. Scope includes remedial design, field investigations, contaminated site management, data analysis and team oversight. You will work closely with contaminated site portfolio leads, ensure project delivery within the oil and gas industry, and oversee the Rifle office on a day‑to‑day basis.
LocationRifle, Colorado – a small town on the Western Slope, located near Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, Aspen, Breckenridge, and Denver. It offers skiing, fly fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
Impact & Responsibilities- Assist Senior Project Managers and coordinate weekly scheduling meetings.
- Support field staff in sample collection, data analysis, and the creation of maps, logs, and cross sections.
- Prepare and review proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports for regulatory agencies.
- Supervise field equipment and ensure federal and state compliance with permitting and remediation regulations.
- Lead and mentor geologists, engineers, and environmental scientists, guiding junior staff.
- Develop project scope, objectives, budgets, and schedules, and manage change requests and risk mitigation.
- Ensure accurate project documentation, client invoicing, and HSSE compliance.
- Travel to project sites in western Colorado and surrounding states (~10% overnight).
- BS degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline; PG or PE license preferred.
- 7–10+ years of environmental consulting and/or project management experience.
- Experience with project financial tracking, change management, CAD/Civil3D®, and ArcGIS (plus).
- Expertise in project planning, numerical tracking, and analysis using MS Excel or similar tools.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in technical writing, office automation, and communication software.
- Ability to work independently, provide guidance to junior team members, and adhere to QA/QC.
- Willingness to travel to western Colorado and surrounding states (~10% overnight).
- Must pass a drug test, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record.
- Professional licensure or certification.
- 40‑hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) preferred.
