Job Summary
:
Responsible for providing special‑education students instruction in settings that allow a continuum of services from self‑contained instruction to full inclusion in the general classroom through consultation and/or collaboration and/or co‑teaching, with assigned general‑education teachers, to provide modifications and accommodations per students’ Individual Education Plan Program (IEP). Works effectively with a team comprised of paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, parents and District office staff with the purpose of providing quality educational services for each and every student, each and every day, without exception.

• Path 1‑Alternative Licensure:
  If you have a bachelor’s degree, we can enroll you in an online, alternative licensure program that is low‑cost with high‑level training.
• Path 2‑Long Term Substitute:
  Only requires a sub license and you would receive on‑the‑job training.
• Path 3‑Apprentice Teacher of Record:
  If you are interested in completing your bachelor’s degree and becoming a teacher, the Colorado Department of Education is partnering with the Department of Labor to create a Teacher Apprentice Program. This program allows aspiring teachers to earn their bachelor’s degree while gaining on‑the‑job training.
