Ridgewood Water is accepting applications for a full-time Laborer 1 position in the Meter and Markout Division.

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for prolonged periods of time under varying temperatures and climatic conditions.
• Ability to learn various types of electronic equipment, including field information systems, pipe-locating equipment, and equipment/software used for performing utility markouts.
• Under direction, may learn to make routine repairs to valves, fittings, pipe sections, or other equipment used in the area of assignment.
• Position may require working after scheduled hours (on occasion) to help complete work under the direction of a Senior Water Repairman, Supervisor, or Superintendent.

• Applicants must be able to obtain a valid NJ Commercial Driver’s License (Class
  
  B) with applicable endorsements within 1 year of hire.
• Experience working at a water utility or in the trades preferred.

• Starting salary is $57,076 as per current Union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• This position is eligible for the NJ State Pension System as well as NJ State Health Benefits Program.
