The Village of Ridgewood is seeking a full-time Tree Maintenance Worker 1 for the Parks and Recreation Department, with a salary starting at $57,297.00.
Under direction, applicant will assist in the planting, transplanting, pruning, cutting of trees and assist in the treatment of diseased trees. Applicant must have the ability to, under supervision, perform basic ground crew tasks, have basic knowledge of tree pruning/removal, stump/root grinding. Applicants must have experience with wood chippers, chainsaws, ropes and knots. Backhoe and bucket truck experience a plus. Candidates must possess a valid New Jersey Class B commercial driver’s license or be able to obtain within 1 year of employment.
Working hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
