Extended School Year Special Education Teachers (Grades PreK-5)

Ridgewood Public Schools is seeking dedicated and passionate special education teachers for the Extended School Year program, working with students in grades PreK-5. This is an excellent opportunity for educators to provide specialized instruction and support in a summer setting, ensuring continuity of learning and development for our students with special needs.

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
• Collaborate with support staff and parents to address student needs.
• Assess and track student progress consistently.
• Monitor student goals and objectives.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Utilize a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles.

The ESY program runs from July 1 through August
7. Programs vary in length, running 4, 5, or 6 weeks, with daily hours of 8:30 AM-1:30 PM or 8:30 AM-12:30 PM.

Internal candidates: salary will be based on summer school contract rates.

• Valid New Jersey teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience teaching special education students in grades PreK-5.
