Overview

General Manager — Community Choice Financial, Ridgeland, MS. As a General Manager (GM), you’ll provide reliable financial solutions to help customers manage everyday challenges. You’ll be the driving force behind the store’s success, manage daily operations, and lead your team to grow revenue, uphold compliance, and build brand loyalty through world-class customer service. What You’ll Do – Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Manage overall store performance by meeting or exceeding Company performance standards.
  • Coach, lead, and develop all team members to build new business and increase store growth by training on systems, Company standards, account management, recovery (collections), job duties, and performance reports.
  • Lead local marketing efforts, leverage business-to-business partnerships, obtain referrals, host and participate in community and in-store events to steer growth and revenue.
  • Examine, evaluate, and process loan/pawn applications and related transactions, and assess risk within established limits.
  • Enforce adherence to quality standards, procedures, and local/state laws and participate in audits and compliance reviews as directed by leadership.
  • Supervise cash handling, loss prevention, and office security, including documenting cash overages/shortages, vault, inventory, deposits, and expenses.
  • Open/close procedures and train new staff in keyholder duties.
  • Participate in selection, review, hiring, and retention of new employees.
  • Develop work schedules in line with budget and store needs to ensure optimal staffing.
  • Handle complex customer situations with integrity and professionalism.
  • Maintain store appearance and address facility needs, including planogram and promotional materials; perform duties outside the office as needed (e.g., vehicle appraisals, store errands, external marketing).
  • Work efficiently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks to meet performance standards; perform additional duties as directed by leadership.
  • Maintain a full-time in-person schedule, including weekends. A typical schedule requires at least 40 hours per week.
  • Store hours and minimum hours may change by brand at the Company’s discretion; discuss the latest requirements with your recruiter.
What We’re Looking For – Qualifications And Skills
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years’ supervisory or leadership experience in retail, finance, service, or related industries.
  • Operations leadership experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with phones, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other systems.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a personal vehicle during the workday (mileage compensated).
  • Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama).
  • Background check as required by law.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including prolonged standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and operating keyboard and other controls.

  • Experience in check cashing, document verification, money order processing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and may be required for certain locations.
