SUMMARYOverall responsibility for the Financial Statements (Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss), business budgets and forecasts including variance analysis, and the business accounting controls and processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversees and directs month‑end close process
- Produces variance analysis reports vs budget, forecast and prior year. In compliance with US GAAP, policies and procedures are followed to meet all department, corporate and statutory requirements
- Follows month‑end reporting procedures, to prepare financial and operational packages for communication to both finance and non‑finance teams
- Standard Cost Accounting to include materials, labor, and overhead rates, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Assistance provided for monthly journal entries during the close process, approval for non‑standard entries
- Provide mid‑month flash figures for both sales and EBITDA
- Completion of Year‑End Audit file and is main point of contact for assistance to internal and external auditors
- Completion of Annual Budgets
- Completion of Monthly forecasts
- Working Capital Analysis
- Responsible for plant Capital Expenditure Project spend, tracking to forecast and budget
- Interactions with relevant teams (Corporate Accounting, A/R, A/P, Payroll, HR, Tax, IT)
- Oversee Inventory Count procedures and results, implementing improvements where necessary
- Responsible for sales and balance sheet reconciliations at month‑end
- Ad‑hoc items to include completion of other financial business‑related duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Business with at 6+ years experience with a broad acute business acumen
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and hands on knowledge of manufacturing systems and link to financial reporting and performance interpretation
- Solid management skills leading teams of 2 or more employees with a track record of mentoring / growing team members with ability to lead and motivate others
- Financial planning and analysis skills in order to determine success, areas of need and ability to communicate results
- Ability to build and drive an efficient, user friendly process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives
- Follow‑through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors / omissions corrected
- Travel:
Ability to travel to Wayne, PA HQ periodically. Travel to Sparks, NV or Ridgefield, NJ plant as needed
Salary $110,000 to $130,500 depending on Experience
