Overview
Do you want to spend the summer guiding young students through indoor and outdoor group activities while creating joyful learning experiences? If so, consider joining the Camp Landmark team on our campus in Ridgefield. We are seeking engaging and enthusiastic teachers to lead programs that are fun, safe, and interactive for our preschool-aged campers.
The ideal candidate must have at least two years of experience caring for young children and demonstrate strong communication skills. We are looking for flexible, creative teachers who are nurturing and can jump in and work with autonomy.
Responsibilities- Assist and participate in all Camp Landmark programming, including water slide, playground, and classroom activities.
- Provide safety and well-being of all campers.
- Demonstrate clear communication, guidance, and instruction.
- Engage with each child and maintain a fun learning environment for campers to thrive.
- Communicate regularly with parents about the child’s experience in camp.
- Partner with other staff members to create a positive and joyful environment for campers.
- Collaborate with the Auxiliary Program Director to ensure programming aligns with Ridgefield Academy’s mission and program expectations.
- Abide by the policies and procedures of our summer program.
- Model positive, respectful, and age-appropriate behavior for both campers and fellow staff, serving as a role model in attitude, language, and actions at all times.
Position
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:45 AM–12:15 PM or 8:45 AM–2:15 PM
Position Dates: June 15–July 31, 2026
Summer Weeks: June 15–18, June 22–26, June 29–July 2, July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–July 31
This position is seasonal and paid hourly at a competitive rate of $18–$25 per hour (based on experience).
