As a Category Management intern you will assist the category management team in optimizing the performance of a specific product category within a company by analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and sales data, supporting pricing strategies, promotions, product assortment, and supplier management, with the goal of maximizing profitability and sales within that category.

• Data analysis
  :
  Gathering, cleaning, and analyzing sales data to identify trends, customer insights, and performance metrics within the assigned category.
• Market research
  :
  Conducting market research to understand competitor strategies, new product innovations, and overall market dynamics.
• Category strategy development
  :
  Supporting the Category Manager in developing and executing category strategies, including pricing, promotion, product assortment, and shelf space optimization.
• Supplier collaboration
  :
  Collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, negotiate pricing, and manage product quality.
• Promotional planning
  :
  Assisting in planning and executing promotional activities for the category, including analyzing promotional effectiveness.

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in market research and consumer behavior
• Basic understanding of financial analysis and profitability metrics
• Pursuing a degree in a business‑or business‑related field
• Some travel may be required in the great northeast area
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college in Junior or Senior year (At least 18 years of age)
• Your degree should be business related (e.g., Business Admin., Mgmt., etc.).
• Self‑directed and able to work without supervision
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
