Supply Technician (01410):
This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty.

The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work requires consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

Skills and Knowledge:
The Contractor shall be able to provide technical supply support for Intermediate level (I-Level) maintenance and modifications on SE, IMRL and aircraft components in support of VX-9 and VX-31.

* Must have a good working knowledge of U.S. Navy policies, methods, and technical publications.

* Must be familiar with manual and automated methods of supply administration.

* Must have a working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.

* Overall knowledge of a complete supply system to include research, stock control, demand processing, issuing, storage, and handling of supplies and equipment.

Task Requirements:

* Technical Supply support at the Intermediate level

* Coordinates limited aspects of technical supply related to local supply activities

* Responsible for maintaining material requirements list, inventories, bench stock (expendable items), critical items list, receipt, storage and issue records, coordinates, processes and expedites supply transactions

* Orders parts as defined by Aircraft Mechanics and Navy Technical Manuals

* Determines and forecasts material requirements, and establishes minimum stock levels

* Prepares documentation necessary for turn-in or repair of repairable components

* Analyzes to define or recognize the dimension of problems involved, collects the necessary data to establish the facts, and takes or recommends action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines

* Order and receive aircraft parts and material

* Expedites repairable and consumable material requisitions through the supply system and informs maintenance of status changes

* Perform inspection of aircraft engine records relevant to determining serviceability of components and end items

* Supply action documentation via logs, records, forms, and electronic means

* Supply support for complete engine and engine module tear down and build up, operational check

* Supply support for general engine maintenance

* Supply support for Technical Directive compliance and modifications

* Supply support for repairing, maintaining, modifying and overhauling aircraft engines and engine modules not mounted on aircraft.

* Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention

* Use Personal Protective Equipment as appropriate for task(s)

* Use HAZMAT as appropriate for task(s)

* Perform general housekeeping

* Perform other duties as assigned or directed

Preferred Qualifications:

* Navy Storekeeper "C" school in supply or USMC/USCG equivalent

* Five or more years' Technical Supply experience

* Configuration Management for Organizational and Intermediate Activities (C-555-0059)

* Aeronautical Technical Publications Library Management (C-555-0007)

* NALCOMIS OOMA System Administrator (C-555-0049)

* Utilize the current management information system(s) to maintain aircraft forms and records as required

Basic Qualifications:

* Three years' experience in Aviation supply or IMRL functions.

* Shall be knowledgeable in Aviation 3M system

* Must have valid driver's license

* Must be eligible to qualify for and maintain SECRET level security clearance

* Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd and weekend shift schedule as required.

* Must be able work flexible work-week schedules i.e. M-F or as required.

* Must be able to pass a background check.

* Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI).

* Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft.

* Must be able to use hand and power tools.

* Must have dexterity to handle small parts.
