Fiber Optic Technician Security Clearance

Fusion Enterprise Solutions is hiring for each position listed below for China Lake, CA. Duration: 5 years.

Minimum of ten (10) plus years’ experience with the following: fiber optic network cabling installations, splicing, testing, terminating, assembling, and documenting; copper network cable installation, termination and testing;
Corning, Exfo, Fujikura, Sumitomo Air‑Blown Fiber (ABF), and Fluke Networking equipment; and analysis of system performance or operational requirements and network infrastructure. Must be capable of executing project surveys and provide project designs, material lists, and cost estimates. Possessing a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering, is a plus.

Minimum of five (5) plus years’ experience with the following: fiber optic network cabling installations, splicing, polishing, cleaving, connecting, fusion splicing, testing, terminations (fusion and mechanical), electro‑mechanical connectorization, assembling, and documenting;
Cat 6, Coax, and fiber optic cabling; operating test equipment for evaluating fiber optic and copper connected components, sensors and systems; experience working with Corning, Exfo, Fujikura, Sumitomo ABF, and Fluke Networking equipment. Ability to splice optical fibers, optimize splicing procedures of specialty fibers, is a plus. Should be capable of executing project surveys and provide project designs, material lists, and cost estimates.

Minimum of two (2) plus years’ experience with the following: fiber optic network cabling installations, splicing, polishing, cleaving, connecting, fusion splicing, testing, terminations (fusion and mechanical), electro‑mechanical connectorization, assembling, and documenting; conducting fiber optic testing with Corning, Exfo, and Fluke testers; assist with design/engineering of Internet Service Provider (ISP)/Operating Server Provider (OSP) projects and fiber optic cabling documentation – OSP Insight;

operating test equipment for evaluating fiber optic and copper connected components, sensors and systems; experience working with Corning, Exfo, Fujikura, Sumitomo ABF, and Fluke Networking equipment;
Cat 6, Coax, and fiber optic cabling; fiber and copper maintenance: emergency restoration, inspection services, troubleshooting, fiber documentation, industry standards, and installation techniques.

Considered entry level but shall have knowledge of the following: fiber optic network cabling installations, splicing, polishing, cleaving, connecting, fusion splicing, testing, terminations (fusion and mechanical), electro‑mechanical connectorization, assembling, and documenting;
Corning, Exfo, and Fluke testers;
Cat 6, Coax, and fiber optic cabling; fiber and copper maintenance: emergency restoration, inspection services, troubleshooting, fiber documentation, industry standards, and installation techniques.
