Could you be the full-time Project Quality & Safety Manager we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety and quality of our projects by coordinating all quality and safety activities from the tender stage through to contract closing. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., Project Managers, Site Quality Directors, Depot Managers, RAMS teams, and Railway Safety teams), represent quality in the project team, and ensure the interface between customer quality and safety teams, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of establishing the project quality plan and ensuring its proper application during the execution of the contract, but also lead and coordinate the project’s quality community.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Ensuring the interface between customer quality and safety teams
  • Establishing and implementing the project quality plan in accordance with contract requirements and Alstom processes
  • Contributing to the criticality assessment of subsystems to ensure the right level of safety and quality assurance
  • Leading and coordinating the project's quality community
  • Supporting project audits, reviews, and approvals of supplier quality systems
  • Monitoring compliance of project deliverables through inspections and audits
  • Facilitating problem‑solving during the execution phase to reduce non‑quality costs
All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Engineering degree with experience in quality and management, ideally in the railway, aeronautics, or automotive industries
  • Fluency in English;
    Dutch language is highly desired
  • Customer‑oriented mindset and ability to work in a multi‑business team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Rigor, effective communication, assertiveness, and resilience
  • Knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO
9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM) and quality tools
  • Experience in team and people management, with the ability to positively influence cross‑functional geographically distributed teams
Things you’ll enjoy
  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long‑term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Utilise our inclusive and flexible working environment
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award‑winning learning
  • Progress towards senior leadership roles in quality and safety management
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage
Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal‑opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
