A well‑run, family‑owned D&B fit‑out contractor is looking for a Project Manager / Contracts Manager to add to the team.

We're looking for solid intermediate PM ready to step up (salary £65,000 - £75,000 plus package) or a seasoned operator (£85,000 - £90,000 plus package) who knows programmes are meant to be followed, not framed.

• Cat A / Cat B office fit-outs (£500k-£2m)
• 2-3 projects at a time (each with a full‑time Site Manager)
• Mostly occupied buildings in the City
• No new build. No mega towers. No “we’ll figure it out as we go”.

• Be the adult in the room
• Run the programme (Microsoft Project – built properly from estimating)
• Manage clients, architects, consultants and PQS without losing patience
• Drive D&B design approvals and contractor processes
• Keep sites safe, sequenced and moving forward
• Let the QS handle the spreadsheets while you run the job

• 90% repeat clients (the good ones who pay and come back)
• Discreet but very impressive client base (NDA territory)
• Subbies treated like part of the team – not disposable
• Usually 2-3 trusted subs per trade
• Proactive management, zero micromanaging
• You set your own diary

• 1 day WFH (nice)
• 1 day in the office (near Stanstead Abbotts)
• 3 days on site (Home Counties or London)
• Northern M25 patch (M1 / M40 friendly)
