Salary: £34,398 £ 46,839 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

We are working closely with a respected secondary school in the Rickmansworth area that is recognised for its strong sense of community, high academic standards, and commitment to developing well-rounded young people. Languages are highly valued within the school, with a clear emphasis on cultural appreciation, global awareness, and academic excellence.

The school is seeking a passionate and skilled Italian Teacher to join their MFL department on a long-term basis from April 2026. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator with proven experience teaching GCSE Italian
, who can inspire students to develop confidence, fluency, and a genuine interest in language learning.

• Teach Italian across KS3 and KS4
  , including GCSE

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that develop all four language skills

• Support students in achieving strong outcomes through effective exam preparation

• Foster an appreciation of Italian culture, language, and global citizenship

• Deliver high-quality Italian lessons aligned with curriculum and examination requirements

• Differentiate teaching to support learners of varying abilities

• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

• Support pupils confidence, communication skills, and academic development

• Work collaboratively within the MFL department to develop resources and curriculum content

• Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as cultural activities, trips, or clubs

• Experience teaching GCSE Italian is essential

• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not essential)

• Strong subject knowledge and effective language teaching strategies

• A calm, professional approach with high expectations of student behaviour and achievement

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
