PART‑TIME SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education and Student Support Services, the school psychologist is responsible for psychological assessment of academic, social emotional, and behavioral domains utilizing diagnostic/curriculum-based assessments and standardized evaluations. The school psychologist will provide leadership to the school’s Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) team by developing, coordinating and monitoring school‑wide systemic implementation of student supports through positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) and social‑emotional learning (SEL).
The psychologist also provides crisis intervention and individual/group intervention services supporting mental health issues for students, school personnel and community/family.
Applicants must also hold a valid Illinois School Support Personnel License for School Psychologist. Preference will be given to candidates with positive experiences working with school‑aged children and families, and with knowledge of community resources.
EXPECTATIONS- Provide leadership, coaching and support to teachers and staff who work closely with students.
- Utilize systems for the creation and implementation of individual student plans to support growth of SEL.
- Model professional, ethical and responsible behaviors.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and community.
