Your Day at Lowe'sAs a warehouse Team Member, you’ll build a range of skills and play a crucial role in ensuring that our stores, customers and communities receive the products they need. You are expected to perform tasks efficiently, work with others as part of a team, and follow safety regulations and procedures.
Warehouse Team Members work in diverse departments, including Building, Shipping, and Receiving.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, organize, and ship products accurately and efficiently.
- Prioritize safety by adhering to proper procedures and conventions.
- Perform tasks in various departments as assigned by the Operations Supervisor.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and adhere to safety regulations.
- Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts may be required, with voluntary and scheduled overtime as needed (overtime pay).
- Physical fitness to move continuously, lift up to 70 pounds, and operate power equipment.
- Adherence to safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work in varying conditions (extreme temperatures, noisy environments).
- Strong safety orientation and ability to work independently or in a team.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in distribution center operations or warehouse settings.
- Proficiency in operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills.
- Spatial reasoning for effective product positioning.
- Available to work a set schedule that may be changed by management based on facility needs.
- May be asked to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends based on facility needs.
Environmental factors vary by location. You may work indoors or outdoors in varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet or damp conditions. You may experience constant or intermittent noises and movements of equipment. Lifting guidelines include single lifts up to 70 pounds; team lifts are used as needed. Powered equipment should be used with proper training.
