Class A Truck Driver

Overview

Join HWY Express as an experienced CDL A truck driver. We offer weekly earnings of $1,200 to $1,600 depending on experience and a minimum pay program to guarantee steady income. Position is based in Richmond, VA 23173 with no-touch freight handling for general commodity freight. Home time is 6 days at home per month with flexibility on usage. Trailer type is reefer, and routes cover the Midwest to the East Coast.

Average weekly mileage is 2,500 to 3,000 miles.

• Operate a CDL A tractor-trailer (reefer) to haul general commodity freight.
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Represent HWY Express professionally and ensure safe, on-time delivery for assigned lanes.

• Experience:
  
  At least 3 months of recent CDL A driving experience within the last year, or applicants with more time in the truck than out-of-truck experience.
• Valid CDL A license for the state of residence.
• DOT Physical:
  Maintain a DOT medical examination with more than 30 days before renewal.

• Rider Policy:
  Ability to bring a companion on trips.
• Detention and Layover Pay:
  Additional compensation for detention and layover times.
• Quarterly Raises:
  Increases based on production and safety performance.

• Experience:
  
  At least 3 months of recent experience within the last year, or alternatives as noted above.
• Valid CDL A License:
  Current license in the state of residence.
• DOT Physical:
  Valid medical certification with renewal window of more than 30 days.
