Rexel USA is one of the largest distributors of electrical products, data communication, and related supplies in the United States. Rexel USA operates its electrical distribution business through eight regions under various banners and trade names, including Rexel, Rexel Automation, Gexpro, Mayer, and Platt Electric Supply. In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S.

We are looking for a Truck Driver to join our Mayer team in Richmond, VA.

The Truck Driver is responsible for delivering products to/from customers, company branches/warehouse locations, and company suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required). Responsible for ensuring that deliveries meet customer requirements efficiently and that materials are correct and free of damage. Employee’s level and pay will be dependent on experience, knowledge, and capabilities.

• Inspect the company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report
• Keep the company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; alert supervisor of repair needs
• Follow Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). local and state driving laws and regulations
• Load or unload the vehicle; verify all material for each order is correct and undamaged before departure
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery
• Ensure all documentation is completed at delivery, including customer signature on the delivery receipt, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest
• Pick up material returns from customers; inspect condition and verify quantities and catalog numbers
• Pick up material from company suppliers
• Senior Truck Driver will participate in training of entry-level drivers and provide mentorship and coaching
• May support other warehouse duties such as preparing/filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material
• Perform other duties as assigned

• In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years
• Must not have any at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
• Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW
• Ability to handle basic issues and problems
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills
