The Finance Tech Retail LOB team is a dynamic, high‑impact technical team supporting the Retail Line of Business (LOB) Technology, focusing on modernizing and enhancing our core money movement capabilities. We are at the forefront of critical initiatives, ensuring the resilience and evolution of our systems to support new products and business strategies, particularly around automating finance accounting reconciliation solutions.

You will be joining a team that is driving major technology transformation projects, including:

• Debit Modernization:
  Rewriting Retail's Debit Card Enrichment pipelines to utilize a new in‑house settlement process.
• Enterprise Payments Initiatives:
  Contributing to large‑scale efforts such as Zelle Prematch and ACH Modernization.
• Platform Modernization:
  Work includes migrating from Pep+ to Payment Exchange.

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full‑stack development tools and technologies.
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.
• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud‑based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
• Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, Type Script, SQL, Python, and Go, Open Source RDBMS and No
  
  SQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.

As a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer on the team, you will be working with a modern cloud‑native stack. While the final job description is standardized, this role involves key skills such as:

• Cloud & Platform: AWS Glue.
• Languages & Frameworks:
  Python, Scala.
• Data Technologies:
  Spark.
• Emerging Tech: ML/GenAI.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following:
  Python, PySpark, Lambda, JavaScript, Type Script, Java, SQL, or Go.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

McLean, VA: $161,800 - $184,600 for Senior Software Engineer

Richmond, VA: $147,100 - $167,900 for Senior Software Engineer

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
