Sr Powerbuilder Developer – Position

Contract Length: 5 months with the possibility of extending based on performance.
Local Richmond, VA candidates required.

Project Lighthouse backfill to maintain IRMS legacy systems and develop interfaces between Gent Tax and IRMS systems during the modernization period to support all four rollouts client’s. The client is seeking an experienced, senior-level Power Builder developer to provide analysis, support, and maintenance for the IRMS legacy system, as well as development and implementation of the Gen Tax–IRMS interface under the direction of client’s management.

This individual will work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Technical knowledge in designing, developing and maintaining TAX processing and revenue management systems
• Product knowledge of IRMS system and/or functional knowledge

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team.
• Interact with a multi-disciplined team to clarify, analyze, assess requirements.
• Work independently and collaboratively on a multi-disciplined project team in an Agile development environment.
• Contribute to detailed design and architectural discussions as well as customer requirements sessions to support the implementation of Power Builder applications.

• Hands‑on experience developing Power Builder applications using Power Builder 12.5 or higher (Required, 7 Years)
• Design and develop clear and maintainable code (Required, 5 Years)
• Team Foundation (Azure Dev Ops) Server and its use to support version control, and application lifecycle management (Required, 5 Years)
• Experience working with Agile/scrum project management methodologies (Required, 2 Years)
• Able to work independently as well as in a teamwork environment (Required, 2 Years)
• Pay attention to details and have a result driven mindset (Required, 2 Years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to coordinate with other application development teams, team leads, business analysts (Required, 2 Years)
• Hands‑on experience using relational databases, such as Oracle 19c or higher or MySQL or similar (Required, 7 Years)
• Design and develop clear and maintainable code (Required, 7 Years)
• Product knowledge of IRMS system and/or functional knowledge (Highly desired, 7 Years)
• Must be either US Citizen or Green Card Holder (Required)
