Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our team and provide facilities operations and maintenance services at the Lewis
F. Powell US Courthouse in Richmond. This full-time position requires expertise in handling large commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, hot water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, and VAV components.
- Operate and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct building maintenance including carpentry and painting as needed.
- Provide effective troubleshooting for HVAC and related systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on large commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.
- EPA Universal certification required.
- General maintenance knowledge including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certification in CFC is also acceptable.
- Strong customer service skills.

Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, with an on-call schedule managed by the supervisor for maintenance calls. There is minimal on-call maintenance required. Overtime work is primarily on Saturdays for 8 hours, with Sundays as needed.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $66560.00/yr.
Health and Welfare pay of $1,211 a month
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Richmond,VA.
