Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician with 4+ years of journeyman experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge in commercial or industrial electrical work and be capable of performing installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems in healthcare environments.

Looking for local candidates in the Richmond area, as well as candidates who are open to traveling throughout Virginia with per diem. Pay ranges from $28-32/HR depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems.
• Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings using hand and power tools.
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit (up to 4" PVC/EMT/Rigid).
• Install lighting, receptacles, and pathways.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of electrical experience.
• Proficiency in wiring, installing, and running conduit.
• Troubleshooting skills and pulling wire.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with basic electrical hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman level skills preferred.
• Journeyman Card preferred.
• Commercial or industrial knowledge.
• Blueprint comprehension.
• Mechanic level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment

Work primarily in professional medical environments such as hospitals and outpatient units, focusing on renovation and fit‑out projects. Operate in small crews with a professional appearance and adhere to safety protocols by wearing PPE including hard hats, safety vests, gloves, safety glasses, and steel or composite‑toed boots. Enjoy standard day shift hours, scheduled for 48 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

This is a contract‑to‑hire position.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
