• The primary objective of equipment maintenance is the repair and upkeep of product equipment, ensuring it remains in a safe, effective operating condition to meet production and quality targets on time and at cost.
• Assist equipment technicians or service personnel with technical support by phone, e‑mail or onsite.
• Communicate quickly and accurately with field personnel and dispatch.
• Ensure quality of repairs to minimize recall/duplicate work.
• Comply with all governmental and company safety policies and Human Resources policies.
• Review shop tool requirements to improve efficiency.
• Identify and report deficiencies to enhance the preventive maintenance program.
• Participate in technical training with dealers/manufacturers and share knowledge with other mechanics.
• Coordinate with Field Services Dispatcher, parts personnel, and vendors to ensure on‑time delivery of parts.
• Collaborate daily with Internal Department, Field Managers, Superintendents, and Field Mechanics.
• Maintain an open communication link with vendors and manufacturers.
• Interpret data in the computer database to guide repair/replace decisions.
• Work hourly with required overtime; require industry‑standard tools (company does not provide tools). Keep service truck clean and orderly.
• Adhere to Hours of Service and Trimble/Telogis regulations.
• Perform additional job‑related duties as requested.

• 1 year field experience repairing heavy construction equipment.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Class A or B CDL.
• Comfortable with all components of heavy construction machinery including diesel engines, power transmissions, and hydrostatic drives.
• Knowledge of open and closed circuit hydraulics and compensating systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems on modern machinery.
• Ability to make repair decisions quickly and rationally.
• Expected to keep all sensitive material confidential.
• Thorough knowledge of equipment operations such as pipe work, dirt moving, concrete paving and asphalt paving.
• Ability to schedule, recommend machinery downtime, and order parts.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Independent worker willing to learn and adapt to change.
• Experience with Cat, Et & SIS, Volvos and related SIS.
• Basic OXY/Acetylene torch and basic stick welding 7018/6010 skills.
