Position Summary and PurposeOur Field Service Technicians enjoy working hands-on with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems that comprise our metal fabrication machines. Field service positions are home based but require an individual who is accustomed to at least 75% travel. Technicians will provide customer and product service via preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with policies, principles and procedures established by Cincinnati Incorporated.
Our Field Service Technicians are provided a company vehicle, paid training, and after the first year eligibility for our Field Service Incentive Program.
- Prioritize, schedule and complete machine service for customers
- Prepare and submit documentation for efficient invoicing
- Maintain company property for safe operation and maximum life
- Efficiently manage business expenses to maximize profitability
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist in the establishment of preventive maintenance schedules with customers
- 3+ years’ experience with industrial maintenance (or related military experience), to include troubleshooting
- 2 years experience with operation and maintenance of hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic principles
- Strong diagnostics and technical aptitude
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Able to travel overnight at least 75% of the time
- Superb communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Strong PC and organizational skills
The position is very active and requires frequent standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing of ladders. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. frequently. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud occasionally. This is a high travel position.
