HVAC Service Technician (Commercial / Industrial)
Location: Richmond, VA
Schedule: Full-time |
Monday–Friday, 1st shift
Occasional on-call nights and/or weekends as needed
We’re seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support commercial and industrial facilities
, with strong preference for candidates who have worked in data center environments
. This role focuses on service, repair, and maintenance of complex HVAC systems—not residential work.
- 3–5+ years servicing HVAC systems in commercial or industrial settings (Data center experience highly desirable)
- Strong job stability — consistent work history is important
- Proven troubleshooting skills across HVAC, electrical, and refrigeration systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions in the field
- Service, diagnose, and repair commercial/industrial HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and document all work accurately
- Test electrical circuits, controls, piping, and connections
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues and resolutions
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and mobile reporting requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman or Master HVAC License preferred
- CFC/EPA certification preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Must pass drug screening and background check
- Clean driving record required
