Installation Technician, Plumber
Overview
We are hiring Laborers, Sheet Metal, and Plumbing/Pipe fitting Helpers to join our amazing New Construction team in the Richmond area. If you are committed and interested in a career in the trades, we want to hire you! Our Helpers work under the guidance of experienced Mechanics to learn how to assemble, install, and repair complex commercial systems.

- Learn how to layout, assemble, and install:
- Plumbing/Pipe fitting: PVC, Cast Iron, Copper, Black Iron Screw Pipe, and Weld Pipe as well as repair these systems for commercial projects.
- Sheet Metal:
Learn how to layout, assemble, and install, duct systems for commercial projects (to include TDF, Slide and Drive, Stainless Steel, Black Iron Grease Duct, Fire Dampers, Control Dampers, Volume Dampers, and more for commercial projects) - Typical projects include new construction, change-outs, retrofits, and installation of commercial HVAC Duct systems, and installation of commercial plumbing and hydronic systems.
- Ability to get to work each day on time and focus on the job at hand
- A reliable source of transportation to and from work
- Some knowledge of construction industry (sheet metal or plumbing), coupled with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including unscheduled overtime (nights and weekends)
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations (is a plus, but not required)
- Understanding of basic construction/shop math
- Ability to work easily and skillfully with hands
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with coworkers and other tradespeople
- A positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment
