Piping General Foreman

Overview

We are seeking a strong mechanical foreman who is willing to permanently relocate to our growing Charlotte, NC market. As Power Design expands into mechanical work, we are looking for a Pipefitter Foreman to play a critical leadership role in the success of our new projects. This position will help ensure all projects maintain a high level of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

You will have access to innovative technologies in the field, including fully-equipped iPads, and you may travel to our 16,000-square-foot training facility for customized training courses at our headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida.

• Work closely with the project Superintendent and other trades; oversee the assigned scope, including management of material and manpower
• Accountable for enforcing and promoting high quality and safety standards
• Utilize technology such as company-provided iPad and smartphone to ensure the job is completed on time and exceeds customer expectations
• Supervise, mentor, and motivate employees working on the designated scope

• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Experience with hydronic piping systems, chiller, boiler, and water source heat pump refrigeration systems
• Progressive mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing leaders who embrace technology and want a clear career path
• Skilled field supervisor with at least five years of experience managing a scope and running multimillion-dollar projects
• Active journeyman or master mechanical or plumbing license preferred
• Proficient knowledge of the IMC, IPC, and IBC standards; local codes; and construction safety requirements
• Knowledge of managing plumbing systems and/or HVAC air distribution systems a plus
• Familiarity with project management and construction technology applications such as Bluebeam, Pro Core, BIM 360, Crew Connect, Field Wire, and/or Open Space preferred
• Willingness to travel to other Power Design project sites as needed within the state of Florida preferred
