As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas while maintaining a high-visibility presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, document and report unusual activity, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication and customer service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, including regular and random patrols as required by post orders and conditions.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and/or radios, and assist with visitor processing, credential checks, and controlled entry as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with local law enforcement, and proper documentation.
• Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
