Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. KSA's/Required Qualifications- Considerable working knowledge of safety and security concepts, principles, procedures, and techniques
- Demonstrated skill in the use of security vehicles, communication equipment, alarm systems, and other types of security equipment
- Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations and remain calm under pressure
- Proficient in writing clear, factual incident reports
- Ability to explain and ensure compliance with college policies, rules, and state regulations
- Must hold a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one, with a satisfactory driving history
- Must hold or be able to obtain certification as a Campus Security Officer, as mandated by the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS)
Current CPR and First Aid Training Certification. Ability to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
