As a Security Officer - Unarmed Financial Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a financial institution location, deterring security‑related incidents through routine patrols and a visible presence. You will engage with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and communication.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help deter unauthorized access and/or property loss.
• Observe and report any security-related irregularities, including property damage, theft, or unusual activity within the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal.
• Assist in emergency situations by following site-specific procedures and coordinating with local authorities as directed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities encountered during patrols.

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
