Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking an Enforcement and Safety Officer to serve in the Parking and Transportation Services unit of Campus Enterprises, ensuring safe and efficient parking operations across campus.

Responsibilities- Patrol assigned facilities and properties daily to ensure patron safety.
- Act as a point of contact with VCU Police, MCVH Security, and other public safety agencies to implement the university’s comprehensive safety plan when the supervisor is unavailable.
- Perform daily inspections of assigned facilities to maintain cleanliness and report issues.
- Provide clear interpretation and enforcement of parking regulations as trained.
- Collect and report vacancy counts for selected parking facilities to the Enforcement Safety Supervisor.
- Work with deck staff to ensure proper control and handling of special events, approved requests, or special assignments.
- Systematically monitor decks to ensure subscribers are afforded parking at their assigned location.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record of 0 or + points.
- Ability to complete all required training.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and shift work.
- Team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Basic computer and time‑management skills.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Commitment to foster a respectful, professional, and civility‑focused environment with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a university setting.
