- Carry out routine GCMS and LCMS methods in an ISO
17025 accredited analytical production lab as part of an insourced services operation. Serve as subject matter expert in GCMS, LCMS, LC, and GC technology for the team. - Work closely with clients and the Eurofins team to develop, optimize, and transfer new methods into routine production. Serve as technical liaison for method transfers.
- Perform advanced instrument and method troubleshooting; propose and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with Eurofins QA and the Special Projects Team to resolve issues and challenges impacting routine production. Lead continuous‑improvement projects by documenting ideas, prioritizing projects, recording status, and communicating updates to clients and lab stakeholders.
- Mentor and train Eurofins analysts performing routine methods.
- Perform instrument calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and root‑cause analysis while maintaining excellence in LC and LC/MS instrumentation.
- Execute daily laboratory duties: sample preparation, analysis, data calculation, reporting, and housekeeping in alignment with 5S standards.
- Meet all quality and productivity metrics.
- Apply the highest quality standard, maintain ISO
17025 accreditation, and review data, notebooks, logs, and reports for quality assurance. - Demonstrate strong client‑service skills, proactive planning, teamwork, collaboration, operational improvements, and support company policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience;
Master’s degree with 5+ years; or PhD with 3+ years. - Advanced degree하고 (MS or PhD) preferred.
- Hands‑on experience using LCMS, GCMS, LC, GC instrumentation and production laboratory operations; IC experience is a plus.
- In‑depth experience in method development, transfers, instrument troubleshooting, and process improvements; ability to mentor junior scientists.
- Experience with in an established quality system (ISO
17025 preferred). - Understanding of production laboratory operations.
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical, organizational, written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Proficient computer skills and scientific knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivated, adaptable, and positive.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Position is Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM; overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Richmond, VA are encouraged to apply.
