Overview
needed for Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit home builder and community development organization serving the Richmond region, who owns and operates multiple ReStore home improvement outlets that sell donated and purchased home improvement products to the public at significantly discounted prices. ReStores generate critical funding to support affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization efforts.
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a strategic, results-oriented retail leader with strong multi-location management experience to provide executive oversight of our ReStore network.
- Provide executive leadership and oversight of multi-location retail operations.
- Implement organizational policies, procedures, and retail operating strategies across all ReStore locations.
- Direct supervision of store managers and retail leadership staff, with indirect supervision of store associates and volunteers.
- Establish consistent merchandising, pricing, inventory, and customer service standards across locations.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, revenue forecasts, and expense plans.
- Monitor sales, donations, margins, inventory turnover, and other key performance indicators.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and implement business strategies to increase revenue and efficiency.
- Ensure strong financial controls including cash management and loss prevention.
- Oversee building and facility operations in partnership with internal teams and vendors.
- Strengthen collaboration and shared accountability across store locations.
- Build relationships with donors, contractors, community partners, and corporate supporters to increase product donations and visibility.
- Support volunteer engagement within retail operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 6–10 years of progressive retail leadership experience, including multi-unit management.
- Minimum 5 years of personnel management experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, revenue targets, and financial performance.
- Experience with inventory systems, merchandising strategy, and operational best practices.
- History of building high-performing teams and driving measurable results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and retail POS systems.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
Compensation range
: $95,000 – $115,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits include employer-paid medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off and holidays, 403(b) retirement plan with employer contribution, and employee ReStore discount.
This is a full-time salaried position based in Richmond, Virginia. Selected candidate will join a collaborative senior leadership team focused on expanding community impact through strong retail performance.
