We are hiring a Merchandise Operations Associate at Saks Global
Job DescriptionUnder the leadership of the Assistant General Manager, Operations, the Merchandise Operations Associate is responsible for daily operations of the general office and the Jewelry Department.
Responsibilities- Open the store, handle safe, controller, registers, distribute reports.
- Maintain daily functions: morning cash entry, process bank deposits, reconcile chargebacks, count register and petty cash.
- Resolve customer issues (internal and external) – research/pay bills, track/processing packages.
- Follow Jewelry Standards and Shipping Guidelines: receive, verify, book jewelry, process re‑tickets, RTV’s, transfers, ASN shipments, price changes.
- Retrieve and process merchandise returns/transfers to vendor per company standards.
- Complete case counts; enter merchandise into case count system; reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain repair log; track repairs sent to vendor or local shop; submit repair invoices.
- Receive and verify merchandise for trunk shows; assist in set‑up, take‑down, recap results.
- Prepare and submit special order requests and statements of sale.
- Communicate with Corporate Merchants, Account Payable, Inventory Control and vendors.
- Adhere to Internal Audit readiness and standards, monitor vault/safe content.
- Assist managers and associates on the selling floor as needed.
- Process fulfillment orders and ad‑hoc responsibilities.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs, climb ladders, handle racks and carts of merchandise.
- Strong computer skills (Google, MS Office) and adaptability to new technology.
- Fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, high multi‑tasking with minimal supervision.
- Flexible schedule, adherence to dependability standards.
- Attention to detail, organized workspace.
- Application of store policies and procedures for decision‑making.
- Verbal and written communication skills; effective telephone and face‑to‑face interactions.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling issues.

Location:
Richmond, VA
Salary: $55,000.00–$70,000.00 (range may vary based on experience, qualifications, and location).
