Head Counselor - Instructor

Overview

We are hiring for Summer Camp Counselors. We are looking for Head Counselors (21 yrs and older) for our Outdoor Youth Programs! Spend your summer months in the beautiful outdoors teaching campers how to fish, kayak, rock climb, hike and more! Our Outdoor Adventure and Young Adventurers camp are the perfect fit for kids looking to learn new skills each day.

Our main goal is to help campers build a positive relationship with the outdoors.

• Lead instructional activities
• Keep campers safe in the outdoors
• Communicate with peers and camp parents
• Help to create a fun week

• Preferred work experience:
  Camp Counselor, School Teacher, Outdoor Educator, Bike Instructor, Raft Guide, etc.
• Helpful experience (not required):
  Knowledge of fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking; experience working with youth
• Skills:
  
  Patient and reliable;
  Experience working with children;
  Familiarity with various outdoor activities;
  Energetic and positive personality;
  Safe driving record, valid driver’s license
• Ability to meet the physical demands of outdoor summer activities
• First aid and CPR certification is preferred for Head Counselors (if not, we will organize a CPR class)

  Starting at $650 per week (pay may depend on skills and/or qualifications)

  Must be able to pass a 3-year background check (any job offer will be based on background check results)
