Position: Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $3,066 per week

Job Overview

Health Trust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Richmond, VA. The assignment starts on March 23, 2026, lasts 13 weeks, and requires 48 hours per week across 12‑hour shifts.

Unit Information

Unit: PSU (Progressive Surgical Unit)

Location:

Henrico
- Forest, 1602 Skipwith Drive, Richmond, VA 23229 (2nd floor)

Key facts:

  • Number of Beds – 12
  • Total Staff – 20
  • Day Shift – 3–4 nurses (one charge nurse with patient) and 1 PT
  • Night Shift – 3 nurses and 1 PT
  • Patient Ratio – 4:1
  • Equipment – central lines, PCA, epidural, drains, Foley, wound vac, wound care
  • EMR – Meditech
Required Skills & Experience

Must have:

  • Able to read cardiac monitor
  • Able to administer narcotics

Preferred (nice to have):

  • Step‑down experience
  • Post‑surgery experience

Typical procedures performed on unit:

  • Colon resections, Whipple, liver and kidney surgeries, vascular, trauma
  • Non‑cardiac surgeries and some medical overflow
  • Cardiac drips (Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin)
