Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Overview

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Richmond, Virginia.

• Assist physicians with epidurals, pain medication, episiotomies, and cesarean delivery preparation.
• Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to track progression.
• Maintain a clean and dry environment, cleaning up bodily fluids.
• Aid physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery instruments.
• Provide immediate care to newborns.

• Registered Nurse with 3+ years recent acute‑care experience.
• Certified in ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP, and 2 years of registered nursing experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
• Strong stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods; lift 20 lb easily and up to 50 lb when necessary.

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week (12‑hour night shifts)
• Travel assignment

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
