Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Overview

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive primary care services in multiple clinic locations, including assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and health education under physician supervision.

• Performs physical exams, orders diagnostic tests, and manages patient care plans, referring to specialists as needed.
• Ensures patient and family understanding of treatments, promotes preventive care, and handles emergency interventions within scope.
• Collaborates with healthcare team members, reviews patient records, and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Adheres to safety protocols, maintains licensure, and demonstrates core organizational values of respect, integrity, excellence, innovation, and teamwork.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing or nurse practitioner program, BLS certification, and certification from recognized pediatric nurse practitioner boards within 9 months.

The role is full-time, exempt, and involves in-person work at designated VA locations with benefits offered. The position requires physical attendance and the ability to relocate if necessary.
