Medical/Surgical - Med Surg RN - Travel Nurse

We are seeking a Medical/Surgical RN for an immediate travel nurse assignment in Richmond, VA. Candidates should have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and hold a current BLS certification. This role will involve providing bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑operative patients.

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑operative patients.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Adaptability to a fast‑paced environment treating patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.

Full‑time travel assignment.
