We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our nursing leadership team and help deliver exceptional resident care. AboutThe Role
The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a critical leadership role within a skilled nursing setting, partnering closely with the Director of Nursing to support daily operations, staff development, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. This role serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and advocate for excellence in resident-centered care.
Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing with oversight of nursing operations
- Support staffing, scheduling, and coordination to ensure appropriate clinical coverage
- Provide hands-on clinical guidance and mentorship to nursing staff
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations
- Support care planning, assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
- Assist with infection control and risk management programs
- Promote a positive, resident-centered care environment
- Step into the Director of Nursing role as needed in their absence
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care setting
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and CMS regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to motivate, support, and lead diverse teams
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
